Being a child of the 70’s I have fond memories of Clothkits the first time round, (my friend Caitlin always had Clothkits clothes) that and kickers and clogs. Well they are back and I am so excited that I am getting a bit giddy. The main reason for the giddiness is that they are using contemporary artists and illustrators to produce beautiful prints for both adults and children.
I am impatient and sloppy with a sewing machine, every time I go to use mine the spools are empty and don’t match the cotton that I have, but I am so tempted to make this skirt or maybe just frame it as art. The black and white print is by Rob Ryan and the birdie is by Jane Foster. They also have dolls which are also making me a bit weak at the knees.
